Overpopulate? Never. The governments will simply ban together and decide who “deserves” to live and who “deserves” to die. The productive comrades … I mean citizens … will live. The useless dross (non-aryans … wait, I mean non productive) will die.
Either that, or draconian birth and food controls will lead to a world dictatorship.
Wow, those two options rock!
My spine is curved.
For some people it can be painful, for me my back just hurts if I move around too much.
Asking this question makes me feel stupid because I ought to know but what is scoliosis?
That’s why I’m really careful lol
The chanse is you will get killed in a car accident though ^^
And they will go like “Hey look at this dude he whould probably have lived to his 90s but he got screwed by a ford sierra” ;D
This ain’t shit. If you want to become physically immortal, just wear Alex Chiu’s Immortality Rings. Alex Chiu has already figured out how to stop aging. Other people are all just wasting time.
if we live forever, our planet will over populate wont it? we will run out of space and may even lose food resources!
also, it there are pandemics, we are sure to lose many people due to us living close together.
well thats my opiion
I am 20 I have no diseases, but I will tell you yes you should live forever, eventually they can find a cure. I am so excited about this.
yes you must….You are a valuable human being…and if they are able to pull this off, i am sure you can have a cure for scoliosis and chronic depression
Sooner or later we will have a cure all physical and mental disorders. I would be surprised if there will be chronically unhappy people in the 22nd century.
I’m 18 years old, chances are I’ll make it.
However, do I want to?
I have scoliosis and chronic depression, if I don’t get rid of my problems do I want to live forever?
Now that they’re working on this I think the two biggest things to work on are reverse aging and halting aging for a long time span (years perhaps).
I really hope I will make it. I am 21 and am leading a very healthy lifestyle. I hope all goes by the plan and I get my immortality pill
The end of aging is clearly on the horizon. The question is: Will you make it or will you be in the last generation that has to die. It would be like being killed on the last day of a long war.
If you can make it to the first significant life extension chances are you will make it to the next and the next and so on.
True! Before this technology they thought that medicin against free radicals and a strict diet could elongate life, which may be true, but now they have found, what they believe to be, the “aging” gene. Lot of ethics to discuss about this matter and I think serious religious conflicts would arise if scientists find a way to play God.
me too…lol…another spin is ingesting small amounts of heavy water…which is also known to slow the metabolism in human and in small quantity is not lethal.
damn straight
fuck 100 years or 1000 years i want live to 1000*10^1000.
think of how many damn new kids will populate the earth, or maybe the complete opposite, and there would be a great reduction.
Then you take it!!
from a molecular biologist grad student:
biochemical reasons for aging are known, ways to manipulate those reasons are available, this is a practical crutch till other, more advanced technologies are available, which are coming soon. If you are below age of 40 at the moment expect to live, if you so desire, into your 500s. This is not fantasy, it is fact. Please do not take my word for it spend some time on pubmed
This would be a wonderful thing for so many people. If you don’t beleive me go pay a visit to your local nursing home. It would be great to be able to help so many people live better and longer. I hope this happens sooner rather than later.
ok… so maybe I can live until 96 instead of 80?
lol
or if einstein were still alive… what if our modern geniuses live until 150 – and by then something allows them to live until 300…
