Hello-
I was going through some old magazines and came across an old May 2008 Woman’s World article about losing weight with 100mg daily of Soy Isoflavones and Resveratrol. I looked up blogs and articles online and a lot of people have had success with this. Has anyone here tried it? If so, what brands of the supplements did you use? I want to try it, but there is so many brands and potency’s out there that it’s hard to differentiate some.
Let me know…

The only sure way to lose some weight is through a combination of healthy eating with some restrictions and regular exercise. Cut out sugary and fatty snacks in particular and eat more fruit and veggies and quality protein that has little fat, add extra virgin olive oil to your diet and take a long brisk walk daily or work out at the gym or use a bicycle daily to get around or for exercise. Resveratrol is just one of many antioxidant supplements on the market and so there is nothing particularly special about it really compared to many others so don’t buy into any hype as it is just that. Soy isoflavones should not be taken if you are on any kind of hormonal preparation (e.g. BCP) as it might interfere with that.. And men in particular should avoid soy as the isoflavones might interfere with testosterone production and/or blood levels of the hormone.
You could try 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water before meals as part of your calorie controlled diet and exercise regime.
Best wishes.
